Wesley Rex Cobb

June 26, 1963 ~ October 15, 2011 (age 48) 48 Years Old
Wesley R. Cobb, age 48, of Columbia Falls, passed away Saturday, October 15, 2011 as a result of a tractor accident at his home. A loving father, brother, son, and uncle; Wes will be dearly missed by all whose lives he touched.
One of five children, Wes was born June 26, 1963 in Sterling, Colorado to Ty and Leola (Clements) Cobb.  He spent his childhood primarily in the mountains of Snowmass Colorado. At the age of 17, Wes enlisted in the U.S. Navy where he honorably served his country for four years. He worked as a Storekeeper Third Class on the USS Orion, a nuclear fast attack submarine, with a home port in La Maddalena, Saridinia, Italy.
In June 1996, Wes married Narda McDaniel in Kalispell. They were married for ten years and had two children. He first became a dad when his precious daughter Chloe was born in March 1998 and was blessed again in November 2000 with the birth of his beloved son Cody. He cherished his children and was happiest when spending time with them.
Wes had many talents and at various times worked as a successful carpenter, warehouseman, park manager, retail manager, truck driver, installation crew leader, and maintenance technician. For the last five years, he was employed by Semitool/Applied Materials and most recently held the position of Telecom Administrator, GIS Mobility Manager. He truly enjoyed his job working with technology and interacting with co-workers from around the world.
Wes embraced a Christian faith throughout his life and accepted Jesus Christ as his savior. He loved his family, his home on Columbia Mountain, and his toys. Wes especially treasured his weekend retreats spending time with his son in “manland.” He was a kid at heart and was a source of joy and entertainment with his animated storytelling, contagious laughter, jovial sense of humor, and playful antics. He was also a trusted friend and compassionate listener. Wes’s other interests included scuba diving, hiking in the mountains, camping with family, biking, kayaking with his kids, hunting, woodworking, cooking, listening to music, collecting guns and knives, and playing video games with his children.
The essence of Wes’s life cannot be captured in words. His generous nature, engaging personality, and devotion to family will be remembered, while the profound loss of his company will be forever felt.
Wes is preceded in death by his mother, Leola Cobb; sister, Cammie Cobb; niece Deanna (Jolly) Leal, and grandparents.
He is survived by his thirteen-year-old daughter, Chloe Cobb of Maui, Hawaii and his ten-year-old-son, Cody Cobb of Columbia Falls. Wes is also survived by his father, Ty Cobb and wife Karen of Newport, Nebraska; sister, Connie Cobb of Olympia, Washington; sister, Christie Jolly and husband Dave of Columbia Falls; brother, Perry Cobb and wife Kelli of Olympia, Washington; nephew Joshua Nickerson and wife Heidi of Silverdale, Washington; niece Camryn Cobb of Pullman, Washington; nephew David Jolly of Wakefield, Virginia; niece, Danyel (Jolly) Provencio of Kalispell; niece, Desirae (Jolly) Pense and husband Zachary of Flagstaff, Arizona; nieces, Josephine and Joselyn Jolly of Columbia Falls; nephews, Austin  and Clayton McDaniel of Kalispell; nephew Corey Groves and nieces Holly and Jewell Groves of Kalispell; and nieces  Melody and Sydney McDaniel of Bonner.
