Welcome to the memorial page for

Walter Paul Weaver

December 17, 1926 ~ May 30, 2016 (age 89) 89 Years Old
Walter "Walt" Paul Weaver, 89, passed away in his home, surrounded by his family, on May 30, 2016.Walt was born in Idaho Falls, ID to Harris and Angie Weaver, the eighth of eleven children. The family moved to Montana where he attended school in Rollins. He joined the army, serving in the 7thCalvary where he was stationed in Japan at the end of WWII.

After a rough first meeting, laden with accusations of scaring fish, Walt and Shirley were married in Kalispell on September 25, 1948. Walt’s love for fishing and hunting never wavered, although you’d have to wake up very early to join him, and be willing to endure a little hollering.
Walt retired from the aluminum plant after thirty years, and was a faithful pillar in his church community for over fifty years. In retirement, he honed his woodworking skills, made countless trips to and from his cabin at Thompson Lake, and of course, loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Walt is survived by his wife Shirley, sisters Daisy Shoemaker and Pat Tinseth, daughter LuAnn Servo, all of Kalispell; and three grandchildren, Stacey Servo of Louisville, KY, Tyrell Servo of Portland, OR and Beau Servo of Superior, MT.

Services will be held on Friday, June 3rd at 11:00 AM at Central Christian. Johnson & Gloschat Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
