Dear Glen, I think you know how close Sharon and I became during our job share years and to the present. She was like a second mother to me and a treasured friend. My most fun memories are the pranks we played on each other at KJHS, her poetry, and more recently when I would rescue her from your office and take her for an ice cream, lunch or shopping at Hoopers! As I look at this sweet picture of Sharon on this website my heart aches for selfish reasons-I miss her already. I just want to let you know how much she loved you, your children and their children. That was always the main topic of conversation with me! She was so proud of all of you! I am so sorry I won't be with you tomorrow to celebrate her life, but I will be thinking of you. I will be checking on you Glen, when I return to Kalispell. Love, Sonya

Lavonne Hansen Burgard Sharon was attendance secretary at KJHS when I taught there. One time I marked a student absent that puzzled her. The student should have been absent as he was now probably graduated from high school!
We reminisced about this incident for a long time. When I take attendance today of my friends, I am saddened for her absence.

On my bedroom wall (and has been for over 30 years) is a cherished calligraphy that Sharon so wonderfully made. It says
:
"Rules: I accept you as you are. I believe you are valuable. I care when you hurt. I desire only what's best for you I'll never hold anything against you. I love you."

Oh Sharon, godspeed.

Sharon gave the community of humanity the gifts you describe, Sandra, and she lived these rules.

PS: Standing by the KJHS offices with Sharon, when we saw a boy who was wearing a dirty T-shirt inside out and backwards. The next day I found a T-shirt with his name on it sitting on my desk. I knew, without asking, who had quietly and gently placed it there.
