Mildred Irene Zellmer Nielsen was born Dec. 31, 1917 to Otto & Gertrude Zellmer passed away January 15, 2016 at the age of 98 years old at Heritage Place, Kalispell Montana.  Mildred was born in Twete, Montana and was raised in Hogeland, Montana until 1951 when they moved to Columbia Falls, Montana.
She was an aid for 17 ½ years at the Lutheran home. After she retired she was active in Sr. activities playing pinochle, teaching Cribbage in many of the schools, etc.  After moving to Heritage Place she enjoyed all of the activities and when you went to visit with her she was never in her room, she was so busy.  She volunteered many hours crocheting lap robes, baby blankets and caps for RSVP.
Mildred is proceeded in death by her parents Otto & Gertrude Zellmer, Husband Ehlers Nielsen, Brother Leonard Zellmer (Doris), sister Ruth Zellmer Lacox(Aaron), son Hans Nielsen, infant granddaughter Holly Nielsen and son-in-law Lester Black.
She is survived by three Daughters Anna Black Federal Way,Wa., Corliss Carr (Bill) Anderson, CA. Gloria Schroeder (Art) Kalispell, Montana, Son John Nielsen (Dianna) Columbia Falls, Montana.  23 grandchildren several great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.  Two first cousins, 90 years old, Odiene Zellmer & Eldera Smith.  That leaves only 2 in that generation still living.

Graveside service will be held Saturday May 14 2016 at Glacier Memorial Gardens Cemetery at 11 am. There will be a potluck/reception following at Hampton Inn, 1140 US Highway 2 W. Kalispell, Montana.  In Lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to be made to a charity of your choice. Johnson-Gloschat Funeral Home and Crematory is caring for the Nielsen family.
