Betty Norem was a trailblazer. She succeeded in a man's world during a gender biased time period where women did not have the same business or work opportunities as men. She was generous with her knowledge and mentored other women to succeed in their work whether is was business, community or philanthropy. She loved history especially Montana history. She asked me to film her at her her husband's funeral and at his viewing; her loss was immeasurable. It was difficult for me to film but it taught me some gifts to each other come with great lessons. I will miss her and so will the community of Kalispell of which she left her imprint forever.
