Dear Mendenhall family,
I have no idea why your mom and dad have been on my mind so much the last 2 months. I decided to look and see if I could find out their whereabouts online. I am saddened by Dollie's passing. 102!! Wow!! She and Chuck were very special to me and I would often stop by to visit when we were at the cabin (Zip's Place) I suppose I even played with some of you "back in the day". Please know that I pray for you all and your folks. My mom passed last June, so I can empathize with the difficulty and grief being "orphaned" brings. Perhaps that is why I often think of the mountains and the people who made that place so special when I was a child. You mom and dad both are party of those cherished memories. Your mom was a woman of grace and kindness. I imagine she and your dad and my mom and dad are catching up now that they are all in heaven. God Bless you and yours,
