Vivian Louise Meyer, 78, quietly passed away the morning of June 9, 2018 in her home surrounded by family and loved ones.
She was born July 12, 1939, in Parshall, North Dakota. She and her three siblings were raised by their step-father, Jerome King, and mother, Ella King, in Stanley, North Dakota. In her early years she and her three siblings helped with chores around the family farm and attended the local school. A devout Catholic, Vivian attended Catholic Boarding School during her high school days. Following high school, she ventured to Seattle where she worked as a secretary at the YMCA. A few years later she returned to Stanley, North Dakota, and met the love of her life, Lawrence G. Meyer. Lawrence was raised in Whitefish, Montana and during the 1960’s that is where the young couple chose to raise their children; Luke, Corrina, Deena, Julie, and Sherry.
A pillar of strength, Vivian was petite and a lady through and through. She gave her love freely and completely. She was a devoted wife, mother, and friend. She enjoyed life to the fullest and always looked towards the positive side of things.
Vivian was preceded in death by her parents, Jerome and Ella King; husband, Lawrence Meyer; daughter, Corrina Gallagher; and grandsons, Cody Meyer, Patrick Gallagher, Anthony Gallagher, and Tommy Gallagher.
She is survived by her son Luke Meyer; daughters Deena Stein, Julie LaRoque, and Sherry Bradstreet; daughter-in-law Lisa Meyer; son-in-laws John Stein, Toby LaRoque, and Scott Bradstreet; grand-children Tim Meyer, Ryan LaRoque, Stephanie Stein-Savelkoul, Hailey Stein, Marriah Bradstreet, and Brett Bradstreet; sisters Janet Jensen and Vicki Luptak; brother Gilbert Lyson; brother-in-law Gerald Luptak; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A private graveside service will be held in her honor on Thursday, June 14 at 11:00 am with a luncheon to follow.
