August 13, 1970 ~ September 28, 2021 (age 51) 51 Years Old

Tribute

SueEllyn Anderson, 51, passed unexpectedly on September 28, 2021, from natural causes. SueEllyn was born August 13,1970 to Jerome “Jerry” and Clara Ellen (Collins)Anderson.

SueEllyn attended school in Kalispell, graduating from Flathead High School in 1989. She then attended FVCC where she earned her AA Degree.

She worked for Glacier Bank in the construction department. When the building boom slowed, looking for a new challenge, she transferred to Glacier Bancorp with the ERM Team, a position she loved. She was with Glacier Bank and Bancorp for 27 years.

SueEllyn’s commitment to the Flathead Valley was evident in her countless hours she volunteered in the community. She gave much of her heart to serve others and make her community better. She served a term on the planning board and was active with Flathead County Republican Women, serving a term as president.

Her love for kids led her to work with AWANA and as a Sunday school teacher for several years.

SueEllyn also took an active role in helping at Stillwater Christian School with the science fairs and the annual track and field day. To her niece’s classmates she was “Auntie Suey.”

One of her passions was to chair the annual Operation Christmas Child project, which she and her niece, Emma, coordinated through their church. The two were quite the team as they made costumed appearances to encourage people to purchase and pack shoe boxes with gifts for children who otherwise would not receive any Christmas gifts at all.

In 2008, SueEllyn traveled with her sister, Jeri to China for her niece's adoption. SueEllyn loved China and made two more trips with the local Chamber of Commerce.

SueEllyn has left a big void for her many friends and relatives; her zest for life was evident. Her constant smiles and enthusiasm as well as her concern for others will be so missed.

She was preceded in death by her father, Jerry, her mother, Clara Ellen, her grandparents Harold C. And Helen (Seideman) Collins, Evelyn Anderson and her uncle, Cliff Collins.

SueEllyn is survived by her sister, Jeri and her niece Emma Luise. She is also survived by numerous aunts and cousins.

A celebration of New Life will be held on Monday, October 4th, at Christ Lutheran Church in Whitefish at 11:00 A.M. with a reception/lunch following. Memorials may be made to Stillwater Christian School or the charity of your choice.
