Olive M. Justice

Olive left this world in her sleep on November 5, she was at peace and surrounded by lots of love. She may have lived a very full 90 years, but Olive was still taken from us way too soon.

Olive was born January 13, 1931, to John and Martha Dooley in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was just one in a family of 11 kids. Growing up during the depression wasn’t easy for anyone, but Grandma always liked to joke it taught her how to make the most out of a penny and I promise you would never find her without her pantry stocked for the next couple months.

When she was relatively young Olive met and was wooed by a young sailor named Charles Justice, they were wed March 4, 1950. Soon after their family began to grow, first with the addition of Elizabeth, then Kathy. The small little family moved throughout several bases during his military career, but finally were able to settle in Proctor, Montana. Here she would live for the next 53 years.
Olive’s two daughters grew up to bless her with 5 wonderful grandchildren. From there she is the Great Grandmother to 11 very lucky children, and she even got to be a Great-Great Grandmother to one sweet little boy in Texas.

With all of the grandchildren, Olive had made beautiful scrapbooks for keeping memories. During her retirement Olive had also begun journaling, mainly keeping record of special events for the family. Recently, however, Olive had begun writing her family history. She was writing my hand all the way back to events in her childhood.

Olive was an amazing woman, she was kind, generous and loving. Whether you knew her as a friend, a sister, a mother, or grandmother you were blessed to have had her in your life. Her energy and passion for life made everyone who knew her better off.
