Lorraine Schultz

May 11, 1926 ~ August 26, 2019 (age 93) 93 Years Old

Tribute

Our beloved little mommy left us on Aug. 26, 2019, to be reunited with many of her treasured family members.

Lorraine was born in Kalispell May 11, 1926, to George and Mary Wise. She grew up on the family farm south of town and attended school in Kalispell. Lorraine married Ray Baier and from that union bloomed six loving children. They later divorced and she then married the love of her life, Don Schultz, whereas six more loving children bloomed.

Lorraine was preceded in death by her husband Don, parents George and Mary, sons Larry Baier and Ray Baier, daughter Joy Lynn Schultz Barrett, granddaughters Darcie Baier and Jennifer Lanktree, great-granddaughters Abigail Mason and Ronni Duncan, great-twin grandsons Aiden and Ashner Isaacs, son-in-law Craig Roberts, brothers Doug Wise, Wally Wise, Buzzy Wise, and sisters Rachel Mitton, Mae Lester, Bud Willey, Mary Roach and Sis Kikendall.

She is survived by her sons Ron Baier and wife Shirley, Lance Baier and wife Rose, Donald Schultz Jr., Dan Schultz, and Todd Schultz and wife Yvonne; and daughters Gail Welch and husband Steve, Gwendy Baier-Hartshorn and husband Bert, Tami Whitehead and husband Mark, and Laurie Schultz; 46 grandchildren, 83 great-grandchildren, and 15 great-great-grandchildren.

Lorraine spent many years working, her favorite job being the Flathead County Jail where she worked for 15 years. During those 15 years, she had met some of her most valued friends. Rumor had it that when she was cooking at the jail, people wanted to be arrested just so they could eat her food. Lorraine loved cooking for everyone but her main joy was cooking for her family and enjoying her time with them.

Heaven gained one heck of a mom, grandma and cook. She leaves behind many broken hearts who will miss this amazing, kind woman.

Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 29, at Johnson-Gloschat Funeral Home.

Public graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Aug. 30, at C.E. Conrad Cemetery with a gathering at Lawrence Park following.
