Dean Allan Erickson, 85, died in the Lord on Saturday December 14, 2019 at Lakeview Care Home in Bigfork, Montana. Dean knew his savior, the Lord Jesus and now wears the crown of life everlasting.
Dean was born on October 29, 1934 to Stanley and Viola Nee Andrews Erickson, in Chicago, Illinois. He was baptized into Christ on February 10, 1935. Dean married Jean Fritze on August 27, 1954, a marriage that spanned 65 years. Dean and Jean had three sons, Mark, Kristian and Richard. Dean was a graduate of Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, IL, and worked as a graphic artist in Chicago. Later he taught graphic arts at the Colorado Institute of Art in Denver, CO. Dean and Jean retired to Lakeside, MT where he designed and built their home, and concentrated on fine art, producing many paintings with religious themes. Dean loved to build things, including additions to their home and sailing boats; and over many years built both wood and plastic model airplanes.
Dean is survived by his wife Jean Nee Fritze Erickson; three sons, Mark Erickson, Kristian (Karen) Erickson and Richard Erickson; four grandchildren: Hannah (Justin) Hart, Miriam (Jameson) Olsen, Katie Erickson and Michael (Stephanie) Erickson; four great-grandchildren: Kyrie, Vincent, Jason and Imogene; and by his brother Richard (Jane) Erickson.

The Funeral for Dean will be held on Friday December 20, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church in Kalispell.
