Carol Catherine Irvin

July 10, 1945 ~ September 12, 2016 (age 71) 71 Years Old
CAROL CATHERINE IRVIN beloved wife of Dick Irvin passed away Monday, September 12, 2016 at the age of 71 years after a valiant fight against cancer.  Besides her loving husband Dick, she is survived by her daughter Dionetta (Lance) Cossin of Atwater, Ohio; Step-Children:  Mike (Marlea) Irvin of Shelby, Connie (Greg) Kasper of Whitefish, and her brother Ken (Nicole) Weiss of Kelowna B.C. Canada.  She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and one great, great grandson.  Carol was an amazing woman and because of this she had many wonderful friends.  She was predeceased by her parents Stanley and Dorothy Weiss and her youngest daughter Dawn Gemmete.
Carol was born July 10, 1945 in Magrath, Alberta, Canada.  At age 19 she married Floyd (Skip) Chenoweth who was in the USAF, establishing US and Canadian dual citizenship.  From this marriage she had her two beautiful daughters, Dionetta and Dawn.  While Carol was raising her two daughters she worked and obtained her Registered Nursing License in 1974 and then worked as an RN at Columbus Hospital in Great Falls, MT.  She then became a licensed Realtor.  To complete her well-rounded career Carol was the bookkeeper for Irvin, Inc. for the past 20 years.
Carol met Dick on a blind date.  They married on October 16, 1992.  Prior to spending half of their time at their home in CA they traveled in their motor coach to different locations enjoying many friends with the Marathon Coach Club (MCC).  She later became the Rally Master for MCC.
Carol was an inspiration to all who knew her – her wise advice, her kind words, and her knack for knowing the right thing to do or say.  She liked gardening and her beautiful flowers showed her talent.  She was also skilled in golfing and enjoyed her time with her golfing friends.  We will miss our beloved Carol terribly as she was such a dear wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend.  God has taken a true angel from us but we know he must have big things planned for her.
A memorial service will be held at Northridge Lutheran Church in Kalispell on Friday, September 16 at 2:00pm and a light lunch will be served.  In lieu of flowers memorial tributes may be made to the Kalispell Regional Healthcare Foundation Cancer Services 310 Sunnyview Lane Kalispell, MT 59901-3129 or Abbie Shelter PO Box 1401 Kalispell, MT 59903-1401.
