Tribute

Calvin Tuscher got his wings on February 15, 2020 at the age of 81, In the comfort of his home after a brief illness. A wonderful husband, brother, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and loving uncle to his family.

He was born June 23, 1938 in Rapid City, South Dakota. To Felix and Doris Tuscher. After the passing of his father early in life his mother and family moved to Kalispell. He graduated Flathead High school in 1956. Then attended University of Montana for 2 years. Then enlisted in the United States Navy. He served the Navy for 24 years. Where he saw the world and retired as a Chief. During that time he found his love of his life Dorothy in California. They married and had two children John and Diana. While calling home in Florida. After his service in the Navy, he worked for LSI for 16 years. Then he truly retired from the work force. Then returned back home to Kalispell.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting, boating, range shooting and concerts, plus he was known as a master gardener. Plus spending time in the company of his family and friends. While also serving his community in many different capacities.

He is preceded in death by his father, mother, son, step-father, and two sisters.

He is survived by his wife Dorothy, daughter Diana, Brother Douglas Gilbertson (wife Patricia) along with numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and nieces, nephews.

Services will be held this Friday the 21st, at Risen Christ Catholic Church at 1:30 pm. Burial will take place at 3:00 PM at CE Conrad Cemetery with Military Honors. Reception to follow.

In lieu of flowers, the family ask that you may donate to a Veteran’s service group of your choice in his honor.
