Barbara Ann Slethaug

Barbara was born April 22, 1942 in Kalispell to Erwin and Bernice (Sherman) Slethaug. Her elementary years were in the Kalispell area schools. She attended high school in Polson and Kalispell. She graduated from St. Olaf College, Northfield, MN in 1964 with a teaching degree and taught home economics.
Barb taught several years in Great Falls. Later she worked for the State of Montana in the WIC program in Lewistown and Helena. One year she worked for the Heart Association in Washington. When Barb returned to the Flathead area, she worked for Avon and worked on an inventory crew, traveling in Western Montana.
Barb enjoyed traveling, especially to London where she attended Michael Crawford concerts. Paris was also a destination. When she wasn't traveling, she was dreaming about her next trip. Genealogy was high on her list and she loved to talk about relatives of the past.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Erwin and Bernice,
Slethaug, as well as a brother in law, Don Knutson and nephew Joseph
Knutson. She is survived by two sisters, Billie(Steve) Moksnes and Joanne
Knutson. Nephews: Jeff Knutson, Jon (Jennifer) Knutson and Josh (Natasha) Knutson as well as Erik Moksnes and Karen (Grant) Takahashi and several grand nieces and nephews.
A memorial gathering will take place in April.
