Arlin Berdett Benjaminson 85 years old of Sunburst, MT passed peacefully September 27th, 2020 at Kalispell Regional Healthcare surrounded by his wife and family.
Arlin was born Sept. 16th, 1935 to Anna & Bertin Benjaminson in Langhei Township, MN. He was confirmed at Fron Luthern Church in Starbuck, MN in 1950 by Rev. Oscar Rem. He attended Country School in Langhei and graduated from Starbuck High School in 1953. In 1959 Arlin married the love of his life & high school sweetheart Loretta Gorder in Minneapolis at Concordia Luthern Church by Rev. Lystig. Arlin & Loretta lived in Minneapolis and moved to Montana in 1960. They had 4 children, Camile, Paula, Michael and Loretta (deceased). Throughout his life he worked on farms, served in the Minnesota Air National Guard, worked for a jet fuel company in Wolf Point, MT, at Big West in Kevin, MT, Petro-Lewis in Conrad, MT and oil fields in North Toole County, MT. Arlin retired in 1998.
Arlin was a hardworking, stubborn, and loving man. He loved gardening, yard work, playing cards, hunting, reading and most of all being with family. It was the simple things he looked forward to. He literally had done everything in life that made him happy. He was content just being home in retirement enjoying a cup of coffee with his wife.
Arlin is survived by his wife Loretta, his daughters Camille Seubert of Shelby, MT; Paula (Darryl) Noseworthy of Milk River, Alberta Canada and son Michael (Linda) Benjaminson of Seattle, WA. His 10 grandchildren include Sarah (Jeff) Garner, Jessie (Scott) Bykonen, Amanda Babb, Wade (Jaylyn) Myers, Cassie Jo (Shane) Ainscough, Michael (Mike) Seubert, Brittany (Matt) Patterson, Brianna (Sam) Seubert, Matthew Seubert and Laura Benjaminson. His 14 Great Grandchildren include Sarah Jacobs, Audrey & Kyra Nice, Layla & Porter Garner, Ethan & Blaine Patterson, Sabrina Hallenberg, Zohlina Gonzales, Deacon & Rylan Ainscough, Everett Sperry, Kacey & Guy Babb with 2 more due in March and April 2021.
His is also survived by his sisters Mariann Johnson, Betty Anderson, Mary Jane Baker, brother Elmer (Sally) Benjaminson all of Minnesota and nieces and nephews.
Preceding Arlin in death is his beloved daughter Loretta Arlyn Benjaminson, his mother & father, in laws Paul & Sarah Gorder, brothers Norman (Mildrid), Melvin (Lila), Bert (Bud), his sisters Eveyln (Kermit) Hjelle, Ruby (Cyrus) Lundberg, brother and sister in laws Don (Isabel) Krieger, Don (Dorothy) Klock and nieces and nephews.
We have been so blessed to have Arlin in our lives. He was an amazing husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend. He always made family the major focus throughout his life. We will miss him greatly and think of him often. We will be holding a service for Arlin later on. Johnson-Gloschat Funeral Home and Crematory is caring for the family.
