Tribute

Roy W. Stanley, 83, of Rollins, MT passed away on March 4, 2024, at his home of natural causes, surrounded by his family.
Roy was born in Nashville, Tennessee on March 21, 1940. He attended Great Falls High School, which is where he met the love of his life, Carol. Roy attended the University of Montana where he earned a double degree in business and elementary education. At the U of M, he was a member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity.
In 1970, Roy bought a piece of farmland on Meridian Road and Idaho Street. Roy’s dreams came to fruition when that corner lot of farmland became Roy Stanley Chevrolet. Roy’s love of cars and people helped that dealership grow into a multi-franchise car dealership. Roy was an active part of the landscape and community of Kalispell for many years. He played handball, was an avid gardener, loved to golf with his friends, and had a lifelong commitment to his physical fitness. Roy’s true passions have always been his family and his love for the Lord. One of his greatest joys was sending morning devotionals to friends and family, even up to the time that Jesus called him home. He was a family man to his core, loved his three daughters, and treasured his wife Carol every day of his life. Roy had a special relationship with each of his eight grandchildren, and they all love him big!
A beloved father, grandfather, husband and friend to all, Roy is survived by his wife of 57 years, Carol; his children, Holly and Mac Regan, Carrie and Shawn Moe, and Libby Russell; his siblings, Norma Bensley, Mark Raines, and Melanie Heckert; his grandchildren, Hailee and Colby Regan, Bridger and Jackson Moe, Kayla (Peter) Williams, Kelsey Michlig, Taylor Russell, and Faith Russell.
In honor of Roy, and in lieu of flowers, the family requests that people would give in Roy's name to Crossroads Christian Church of Bigfork, MT. and Intermountain Children’s Home in Helena.
The family would like to thank Logan Health Hospice for their wonderful care and support.
A celebration of life will be held at Crossroads Christian Church, in Bigfork at 11:00 am on Friday, May 17, 2024.
