Laurie, our prayers for comfort and peace at this sad time. I knew your Dad best through you and the big smile that you always had when you spoke of him. I did not have him as a teacher but always heard good things about his classes. We remember him (and your mom) as faithful brothers and sisters in Christ at Trinity, a friendly smile and handshake even in these later years when we would visit at Trinity. Praising God for their faith and that you have the comfort of their eternal life.

Best economics teacher I ever had. I am glad to have been one of his students at Flathead High. My condolences to the family and wish all the best to them as they mourn their loss.

I'm sorry to hear of Mr. Furlong's passing. He was my high school journalism teacher and driver's ed instructor nearly 50 years ago. He was also (briefly) my foreman at the Cherry Warehouse one summer. Mr. Furlong and I were like oil and water, we clashed numerous times. However, he taught me to drive, and on black ice at that. Also, I fondly remember some of the arguments we had to this day. My deep condolences to the family.

Furlong Family,
We are sorry to hear of Noel's passing. He and Louise were our close friends in college and he introduced JoAnn and I on a blind date! We attended their wedding and shared their joy as each of you joined their lives. Our deepest sympathy, Jack and JoAnn

To the Furlong Family-I have never met your father/grandfather, but I have heard so many wonderful stories of your family that I feel I know each of you. Laurie is a dear friend and I know that your family is one filled with love and caring. This was inspired by your loving parents. You have lost a dear father and grandfather and my sympathy goes out to you.

He was my history and journalism teacher and also the Arrow advisor. I learned a lot from Mr. Furlong and he was one of my favorite teachers. When I weas Arrow editor, woe was the day we made any serious errors!

He was my economics teacher and my drivers ed teacher way back in the 70's. I remember in economics on Fridays he had "potpourri" where we could talk about anything we liked or was on our minds. He was a great teacher and a real educator. I always remembered in drivers ed how he would pound his fist up and down and yell "You're dead!" if we didn't look for trains when crossing railroad tracks! He was really a great guy and he was always respected by students because he always kept his word and stood by what he said. He was someone you could trust. I remember him fondly after over 30 years.

Noel was always a good man. He was a pretty cool guy really and like all of our parents, much smarter than we ever thought. I was around Noel at a time when all of our parents had their hands full trying to keep us kids out of trouble and busy with sports and other activities. Noel & Louise always had their door open to all of their kid's friends--I was one of them. It was a busy time growing up in West Kalispell back in the 70's. Noel was a good teacher and a great parent. I'm sure his family will miss him terribly. All you Furlong kids were lucky to have a dad like Noel. My thoughts and prayers go out to all of you.
