I am so very sorry for your loss of James. I can't even imagine how difficult this is for the Barrett family. May the love of those close to you, and your memories of James, help you through this time of sorrow. May Jehovah (Psalms 83:18) God's promise (Titus 1:2) of the resurrection give you hope of being reunited with your dear James and your loved ones. (Acts 24:15, John 5:28, 29). Soon death will be eliminated forever (Revelation 21:3,4). Please find comfort, as you meditate on these loving promises. I was a friend, coworker and teammate to James for many years. My heart is heavy with sorrow and empathy for his family and friends. The world seems a little darker without his quick smile and bright wit, I will miss how sharply funny and brutally honest he was. I believe that his restless soul is finally at peace and I pray for peace to those grieving from this loss.

My heart goes out to the Barrett family and friends of Jim in your time of sorrow. I know Jim has left you with many precious memories from his 44 way too short years with us. When death robs us of someone we love very much, it causes much sadness and grief. "Jehovah (Psalm 83:18) is close to the brokenhearted; He saves those who are crushed in spirit." (Psalm 34:18) Isaiah 33:24 guarantees us: "And no resident will say "I am sick," ever again. Revelations 21: 4 says: "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore." The family is in my prayers and I offer my heartfelt condolences.

With a very heavy heart we offer our deepest condolences to Jim's family.
Jim was and always will be one of my oldest friends. We had know each other... well since the beginning of time, Kindergarten. We played sports together, served on student councils and of course were co- conspirators along with Tim Zundel for the infamous "Super Bowl Shuffle"and other lesser known performances at Air- Band concerts. I and the rest of the world will miss you greatly my friend. Wolverines forever!

So sad to hear about James's passing. We graduated high school together and many classes throughout those years. We recently were able to play softball together and it was great getting to reconnect with him again. He really did have a unique sense of humor that always made me laugh. I regret I will out of the area and unable to attend his services. He will be missed. My deepest condolences to his family and closest friends and may you rest in peace my friend.
