I am so very sorry for your loss. I never had the privilege of meeting Mr. McGarvey, but it sounds like he lived a full and wonderful life and I am sure that he has left many wonderful memories for you to look back on. As you reflect on your loss, please take comfort in the scripture at 2 Thessalonians 2:16,17. May God strengthen you and bring you comfort during this difficult time as we await the fulfillment of his promise of a resurrection. (Acts 24:15; Revelation 21:4) My deepest condolences to Mr. McGarvey's family and friends.

Oh Ka'ailani...I had no idea when I saw your picture from you wedding that Dale had passed away. He has, however, left an indelible mark on this world. I'm thinking of you and praying for comfort and peace through this time. It's hard to lose your dad, even when they've reached such ripe old ages and their health is declining, and part of you is glad they don't have to linger around any longer than they did.
