Beulah Robertson Clothier of Kalispell passed away peacefully in her sleep on February 8, 2017, just one week short of her 97th birthday.
Beulah was born February 15, 1920 to Clyde "Rabbit" and Minnie Robertson. Beulah lived her entire life in Kalispell. She married George Stearns on September 18, 1943, and they were blessed with three children: Linda in 1947 and two years later, twins Clyde and Claire. Beulah was a loving mother - she relished those years raising her children and took countless pleasure in their accomplishments. On November 7, 1980, Beulah married Keny Clothier, and she lived with him for 25 years until his passing in 2005. Beulah loved Montana and its mountains; and held many fond memories of time spent at Ashley, Flathead, and Bitterroot lakes. Beulah also loved her Sunday football, and to travel, especially to Panama.
Surrounding herself with family and friends gave Beulah her greatest joy, which she eagerly shared with those around her. She loved to tell her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren (and anyone else who would listen) about her father Rabbit's time as an Indian Agent at Heart Butte, and how she received her Blackfoot Indian name SA-PA-PIS-TOT-SA-KEE " Spear Woman", from Rabbit's close friend, Mountain Chief. Beulah has loaned the Robertson Blackfoot Indian heirloom collection to the Central School Museum so it can be enjoyed by the public.
Beulah was preceded in death by her beloved son, Clyde, who passed away suddenly of an undiagnosed heart ailment on February 18, 2016. She was also predeceased by her husband Keny, sister Mary Jane Panick, brothers Vose and Robert Robertson, and her very special cousin, Lois Montgomery.
Survivors include her daughters Linda (Royce) Robinson and Claire (Toby) Svejkovsky, her daughter-in-law Candi Stearns, her grandchildren and great grandchildren, and her nieces and nephews.
Beulah never met a stranger and left the world a better place with her unconditional love and understanding. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her - may she rest in peace.
A private service will be held at Beulah's request. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the American Heart Association, in which Beulah was an active member for numerous years.
